A cedar barrel sauna was the answer.

Built for guests, not just owners
The brief was simple: durable, low-maintenance, no complicated controls. Guests at an Airbnb shouldn’t need instructions — they should be able to step out of the cabin, fire up the sauna, and be sweating in under an hour. Every barrel sauna starts at the Satori Cedar Spas workshop in St. Louis, assembled and finished before it leaves the shop. When it arrives at the property, it’s ready.
The installation
For this Innsbrook build, the sauna was set on a concrete pad tucked into the tree line — close enough to the cabin to be convenient, far enough into the woods to feel like a true retreat. The dark stain lets the barrel disappear into the woodland rather than stand out against it. The result is a sauna that looks like it’s always been there.
